Collection of Personal Information

We collect and store personal information such as your name and email address when you create an account, including through Sign in with Apple or Google. When you set up Eyelet, we collect the information you give us about yourself and your training, such as your birth year, sex, experience level, running goals, races, available days, injuries, and preferences. We also store your conversations with Coach and any feedback you give about your workouts. We may collect information about your use of the app, such as your device type, IP address, and usage patterns.

Health and Fitness Data

With your permission, Eyelet reads data from Apple Health and from connected fitness services and devices, such as Garmin, Fitbit, COROS, Polar, Suunto, and others we may support (“Connected Services”). This can include workouts, distance, pace, heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, steps, weight, VO2 max, and other activity data, depending on what you allow. We read only the types of data you grant access to, and only after you give permission. This is how the app works: your plan, your heart-rate zones, and Coach’s guidance are built from this data. We do not sell your health and fitness data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. You can withdraw access at any time in the app, in your iPhone’s Settings for Apple Health, or in your account with the Connected Service. When you disconnect a service, we stop reading new data from it.

Location

If you allow it, Eyelet uses your approximate location for the weather in your morning briefing and to show races near you. Your location is rounded to about 10 kilometers before it leaves your phone, and we store only that rounded location. If you have not allowed location access, Eyelet may estimate your general area from your IP address to suggest nearby races. You can turn location access off at any time in the app or in your iPhone’s Settings.

Voice Input

When you speak to Coach instead of typing, your speech is turned into text by Apple’s speech recognition on your device. We keep the text of your message; we do not record or store audio.

Use of Personal Information

We use your personal information to provide the app’s features, including your training plan, workouts, progress insights, morning briefing, and conversations with Coach. We may also use your information to communicate with you about the service, respond to support requests, and improve the app.

AI Processing

With your consent, your profile, training, and health data are sent to an AI model to write your plan and Coach’s messages. This data is used only to provide the service to you and is not used to train AI models. You can turn AI processing off at any time in the app’s Settings; Coach pauses until you turn it back on. Specifically, all models used by coach have "Zero Data Retention" ZDR turned on by default. Your data will never be sent to a model that does not respect ZDR.

Sharing of Personal Information

We may share your personal information with third-party service providers who help us operate the app, such as cloud hosting and data storage, authentication, AI processing, weather, race search, and product analytics services. These providers may use your information only to provide their services to us. When you search for races, your search terms and general area are sent to race listing services to find results. We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can erase all of your data at any time in the app’s Settings, which permanently deletes your workouts, health history, plans, and Coach conversations; data stored in Apple Health or a Connected Service itself is not affected. You can also contact us to delete your account or request a copy of your data.

Children

Eyelet is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security of Personal Information

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email.
