Introduction
Welcome to Eyelet (“Eyelet”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a running app built around an AI coach that knows your training and plans it with you. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Eyelet mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to use Eyelet. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must use Eyelet under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

Description of Service
Eyelet helps you train for running goals, from a first 5K to a marathon or simply running more. Our Service includes personalized training plans, structured workouts, a morning briefing, progress and health insights, and “Coach”, an AI coach you can talk with about your training. With your permission, Eyelet reads data from Apple Health and from connected fitness services and devices, such as Garmin, Fitbit, COROS, Polar, Suunto, and others we may support (“Connected Services”), including workouts, heart rate, sleep, and other activity, and uses it to tailor your plan and Coach’s guidance. We may offer free and paid subscription tiers with varying levels of access to features.

Health and Fitness Disclaimer
Eyelet is a training tool, not a medical service. Coach and the Service provide general fitness guidance only and are not a substitute for advice from a doctor, physiotherapist, or other qualified professional.

  • Consult a doctor before starting a new training program, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, or have not exercised recently.

  • Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, or anything else that concerns you.

  • Heart-rate zones, paces, training load, sleep, and other figures are estimates based on data from your devices and Connected Services and on standard formulas, and may be inaccurate.

Running and exercise carry a risk of injury. You choose whether and how to follow any plan or suggestion, and you take part in any physical activity at your own risk.

AI Coach Coach’s responses are generated by AI and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuited to your situation. Use your own judgment and listen to your body. Coach may suggest changes to your training plan, but your plan changes only when you approve a change.

User Accounts
To use Eyelet, you must create an account, including through Sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@eyelet.app of any unauthorized use of your account. You may delete your account and your data at any time through the app settings.

Privacy and Health Data
Eyelet reads data from Apple Health and from any Connected Service only after you give permission, and only the types of data you allow. You may withdraw permission at any time in the app, in your iPhone’s Settings for Apple Health, or in your account with the Connected Service. When you disconnect a service, we stop reading new data from it. With your consent, your data is processed by an AI model to write your plan and Coach’s messages; it is not used to train AI models. Specifically, all models used by coach have "Zero Data Retention" ZDR turned on by default. Your data will never be sent to a model that does not respect ZDR. By using the Service, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it.

Third-Party Services
Apple Health and each Connected Service are provided by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies, which you agree to separately when you connect them. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their availability, for changes they make to how they share data, or for the accuracy of the data they provide, such as heart rate, distance, pace, or sleep readings from your device. We may add or stop supporting a Connected Service at any time. If a service stops sharing data with Eyelet, parts of the Service that depend on it may stop working.

Intellectual Property Rights
Eyelet owns all rights, titles, and interests in the Service, including but not limited to the app design, features, branding, training methods as presented in the app, and any original content we provide. Your data and the content you create remain yours.

User Content
You retain ownership of all messages to Coach, workout feedback, notes, health and activity data you share from Apple Health or a Connected Service, and other content you create or provide using Eyelet (“User Content”). By using the Service, you grant Eyelet a limited license to process, store, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service for you. You represent and warrant that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

Subscription and Payments
Eyelet may offer paid subscription plans. If you purchase a subscription, you agree to pay the applicable fees and any taxes. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s app store settings. Refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of the applicable app store.

Beta Versions
We may offer early or test versions of Eyelet, for example through TestFlight. Beta versions may contain bugs, may change without notice or stop working, and your data in a beta version may not carry over to a later version.

User Conduct
You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its systems, or other users’ accounts

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service

  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable

  • Use the Service to infringe on any third-party rights

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Eyelet provides the Service “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or accurate, including any plan, workout, estimate, or Coach response. Training plans, Coach’s guidance, and other content are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as medical or professional advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eyelet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service, including any injury or health outcome related to physical activity you choose to undertake.

Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eyelet, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

Changes to the Service and Terms
Eyelet reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes to the Terms through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Eyelet may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for any breach of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, though you may request export of your User Content by contacting support@eyelet.app.

Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, or in a court of competent jurisdiction in Pennsylvania.

Miscellaneous
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Eyelet regarding the Service. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of those rights.
